About Flam!
A Bit About the Tutor
A Bit About the Vision
My name is James Sonoda, and I'm the tutor for Flam! Drum Tutoring. I've been drumming for over 12 years now, and I've loved every bit of it. I have drummed for multiple churches all throughout my career, and have been teaching multiple students for over a year. When I'm not drumming, I'm outside going snowboarding, camping, and playing sports. My favorite drummers are Neil Peart and Travis Barker.
My drumming career started with a pair of cheap chopsticks and my mom's cookware. Through the support of many people (especially my parents), I grew my drumming career more than I ever thought I could, and my love for the drums grew a ton! I believe that anyone can do the same with good support and hard work. That's exactly what I'm here for! My goal as a drum tutor is to help people ignite a love for the drums, and help them achieve their drumming goals. My vision is to support my students through every step of their percussion journey.
